This bird lives here all year round.
Afrikaans
Waar by die skool?
Wil jy weet? Tarentale slaap snags saam hoog in bome, veilig weg van jakkalse en ander roofdiere.
English
A grey bird with tiny white spots, a blue-and-red bare head and a bony "helmet" on top. It eats seeds, insects, snails and roots.
Where at school? Look for flocks walking and scratching across the open veld.
Did you know? At night guineafowl sleep together high up in trees, safe from jackals and other predators.
